ETF HYPE Daily Net Flows
Aggregated daily net flows across the US spot Hyperliquid (HYPE) ETFs: Bitwise (BHYP), 21Shares (THYP) and Grayscale (HYPG). Positive bars = net institutional buying; negative bars = net redemptions. A fund with no published value that day stays missing - it is never shown as zero.
What is it?
Hyperliquid (HYPE) became the first decentralized-exchange token with a US spot ETF wrapper. Three products trade: Bitwise (BHYP), 21Shares (THYP) and Grayscale (HYPG). This chart aggregates their daily net dollar flows - the heartbeat of how much new institutional capital enters or leaves the HYPE ETF category each trading day. Positive bars = net creations; negative bars = net redemptions.
How to read
A histogram: green bars above zero are net creations, red bars below zero are net redemptions. The Y-axis is in USD compact format. Because the category is young, read the breadth of flows (how many consecutive positive days) rather than single large bars, which often reflect one desk's positioning. A fund with no published value that day simply has no bar for that fund - it is never shown as a zero. The price overlay lets you compare flows with the HYPE price: buying strength on red days is value-driven; buying on green days is momentum-driven.
Key zones
• Opening weeks: the first products list sequentially (21Shares first, then Bitwise, then Grayscale), so early bars mix genuine demand with launch-day seeding. • Breadth threshold: several consecutive positive days across more than one issuer is the indicator that the category is broadening; a single issuer carrying all the flow suggests a concentrated, fragile demand base. • Redemption clusters: consecutive red bars usually track HYPE price drawdowns; a red streak that starts while price is flat is the more informative case. • Staking design: all three products stake part of their HYPE, so creation demand is partly driven by yield-seeking mandates rather than pure price exposure.
What to observe
• Issuer rotation: which product captures the flow changes with fee competition and staking terms - watch the per-fund breakdown in the tooltip. • Flow vs price: do inflows persist through drawdowns? For a young category, that is the strongest evidence of sticky institutional demand. • Liquidity feedback: HYPE ETF flows can influence the token's liquidity and funding environment, which in turn affects the venue's trading activity - a reflexive loop worth tracking alongside the derivatives charts.
Historical context
HYPE ETFs listed in May-June 2026, making Hyperliquid the first decentralized derivatives venue whose token received a US spot wrapper. The launch followed the SEC's generic listing standards, which turned non-BTC spot crypto ETFs into a streamlined approval process. Unlike BTC and ETH products, these funds are grantor trusts rather than 1940-Act funds and are allowed to stake the underlying token, passing part of the yield to shareholders.
Expert notes
Source: Farside Investors (farside.co.uk/hyp/). The daily table exposes only a recent window, and its empty cells stay empty: a day where no fund has a published value is a gap, never a zero. The per-fund breakdown (BHYP, THYP, HYPG) is carried in each row's metadata. A day not yet decanted at the source is skipped by design, so the most recent bar can trail the current day. This metric is part of the same collection as the BTC/ETH/SOL flows - one collector, one rhythm, one gate: a single activation constant turns the whole Farside source off if the written authorization is not obtained.
Common mistakes to avoid
• 'A bar at zero means no activity': no - a missing cell is a gap and is not drawn as zero. A genuine zero is a real, published zero. • Reading one issuer's bar as the category: always check the per-fund breakdown; one product can carry the whole day. • Treating early launch bars as pure demand: seeding and in-kind launch mechanics can dominate the first days. • Comparing HYPE ETF flows with BTC ETF flows in absolute dollars: the categories differ by an order of magnitude in age and size.
