ETF HYPE Cumulative Net Flows

Running total of all daily net flows since the first US spot Hyperliquid ETF listed (2026-05-12). The full history comes from the cumulative per-fund series published on the source page itself, dated on NYSE trading days.

What is it?

The running total of every daily net flow into US spot Hyperliquid ETFs since the first product listed. Each day adds (or subtracts) the net creations and redemptions of the whole category: the line's height is the cumulative capital the wrapper has absorbed, and its slope is the pace at which the market is adopting it. It is the long-horizon companion of the daily-flows histogram.

How to read

A single area line in USD compact format. Rising = net capital absorbed; flat = creations offset by redemptions; falling = cumulative net redemptions. The line starts at zero on the first listing day and accumulates every published daily flow since. A missing value is a source gap and never flattens the curve artificially. Because the category is young, the slope matters more than the level: a steady climb through a price drawdown is the strongest indicator the chart can produce.

Key zones

• Zero line: the starting point on the first listing day. • Launch ramp: the first weeks mix seeding with genuine demand; treat the initial slope as indicative, not structural. • Plateau: a flat stretch means creations and redemptions cancel out - check the histogram to see the underlying gross activity. • Roll-over: a sustained negative slope is cumulative redemption pressure; its duration matters more than its daily size.

What to observe

• Inflection points: the slope turning from steep to flat is the earliest visible sign that the marginal buyer has paused. • Price divergence: cumulative flows rising while HYPE falls indicates price-insensitive, structural demand. • Issuer concentration: a cumulative line carried by a single product is more fragile than one shared across issuers - the per-fund breakdown is in the tooltip. • Cross-category comparison: compare the slope with the SOL and BTC cumulative flow charts at the same days-since-launch.

Historical context

The HYPE ETF category opened in 2026, the first US spot wrapper for a decentralized derivatives venue's token. Its cumulative flow line is the simplest record of how much regulated capital the category has actually absorbed since launch - a question that matters for Hyperliquid because the venue's liquidity and its token's economics are closely linked.

Expert notes

Source: Farside Investors (farside.co.uk/hyp/). The page publishes no historical permalink for HYPE, but its chart carries the cumulative per-fund series since the first listing day; Trinity dates that series on NYSE trading days and verifies every point against the month labels the source itself publishes, refusing the series entirely if a label does not match. The daily table remains the source for the per-day histogram. A day not yet decanted at the source is not written; the last point can therefore trail the current day by design.

Common mistakes to avoid

• 'The cumulative level is the AUM': no - it counts net creations only, not price appreciation or staking yield. Use the AUM charts for category size. • 'A flat line means nothing is happening': no - it can hide large two-way activity; read it with the histogram. • 'A missing point is a zero-flow day': no - gaps are source gaps and are never rendered as zero. • Extrapolating the launch slope linearly: young categories rarely grow linearly.
