Cointime Price
Price model derived from the cointime economic framework. Acts as a dynamic fair-value anchor that adjusts for the age-weighted activity of the network.
What is it?
Cointime Price is Cointime capitalisation divided by adjusted supply. It represents the average acquisition price weighted by 'cointime' - combining value and holding duration in a single price. Sits between classic Realized Price and True Market Mean Price, offering intermediate support.
How to read
Like a Realized Price with partial correction for dormancy. Spot price above Cointime Price indicates a globally healthy market; below, moderate stress.
Key zones
Sits between Realized Price (lower) and TMMP (higher). The three levels form a 'triple Cointime support layer' visible on the price chart.
What to observe
The order in which price crosses these three supports (TMMP → Cointime Price → Realized Price) during a correction allows evaluating sell pressure severity.
Historical context
Cointime Price offers a complementary perspective to Realized Price. The two converged during major capitulations but diverge in normal conditions.
Expert notes
Cointime Price is less cited in literature than TMMP and AVIV but remains a useful component of the complete framework. Its main interest is as an intermediate point in the support hierarchy.
Common mistakes to avoid
Do not confuse Cointime Price and True Market Mean Price - the former partially includes dormant coins (with depreciation), the latter excludes them more aggressively.
