ETF SOL Cumulative Net Flows

Running total of all daily net flows since the first US spot Solana ETF listed (2025-10-28). The slope reads the pace of institutional adoption: steeper = faster inflows. The full history comes from the cumulative per-fund series published on the source page itself, dated on NYSE trading days.

What is it?

The running total of every daily net flow into US spot Solana ETFs since the first one listed. Each day adds (or subtracts) the net creations and redemptions of the whole category, so the line's height is the cumulative capital the wrapper has absorbed, and its slope is the current pace of adoption. It is the long-horizon companion of the daily-flows histogram: the histogram shows one day at a time, this chart shows where all those days add up.

How to read

A single area line in USD compact format. A rising line = the category is absorbing capital on net; a flat stretch = creations and redemptions offset; a falling line = cumulative net redemptions. Read the slope, not the level: the same slope on a $200M and a $2B category means very different things for the marginal buyer. The line starts at zero on the first trading day of the category and accumulates every daily net flow since. A missing value on a given day is a gap in the source, not a zero - it never flattens the curve artificially.

Key zones

• Zero line: the starting point on the first listing day. Everything above it is net capital absorbed since inception. • First weeks: a steep opening slope is typical for a new wrapper category as seed capital and early allocations arrive. • Rotation episodes: a falling slope during a period when the daily histogram shows red bars is cumulative redemption pressure - watch whether it stabilises or accelerates. • Comparison with BTC/ETH cumulative flows at the same days-since-launch: altcoin wrapper categories typically absorb a fraction of the BTC category at comparable age.

What to observe

• Slope changes: an inflection from steep to flat is the first visible sign that the marginal institutional buyer has paused, often before the daily histogram makes it obvious. • Drawdown resilience: during SOL price drawdowns, does the cumulative line keep rising (buyers stepping in) or roll over (redemptions)? • Milestones: round cumulative levels ($500M, $1B, $2B) tend to attract attention and can become self-reinforcing. • Divergence with price: a cumulative line that keeps rising while price falls is the clearest evidence of structural, price-insensitive demand.

Historical context

The US spot Solana ETF category opened in October 2025 under the SEC's generic listing standards, and its cumulative flow line has since become the simplest single measure of how much institutional capital the altcoin wrapper theme has actually absorbed - as opposed to how much attention it received. Unlike BTC and ETH categories, every product in this cohort is staking-enabled, so part of the AUM growth comes from protocol yield rather than creations; the cumulative flow line deliberately excludes that yield and counts only creations and redemptions.

Expert notes

Source: Farside Investors (farside.co.uk/sol/). The page has no historical permalink for SOL, but its chart carries the cumulative per-fund series since inception; Trinity dates that series on NYSE trading days and verifies every point against the month labels the source itself publishes. The daily table remains the source for the per-day histogram, where a missing cell stays missing. Because the cumulative series is published per fund, the metadata of each row also carries the per-fund breakdown in USD. A day whose flow is not yet decanted at the source is not written, so the last point can trail the current day by design rather than by failure.

Common mistakes to avoid

• 'A flat cumulative line means no activity': no - it can be large creations exactly offset by redemptions. Read it with the daily histogram. • 'The cumulative level is the category AUM': no - it counts net creations only, not price appreciation or staking yield. Use the AUM chart for the size of the category. • 'A missing point is a zero-flow day': no - missing values are source gaps and are never rendered as zero. • Comparing cumulative flows across assets without normalising by category age or market cap.
