Trinity Smart-Money Index (TSMI)

TSMI reads the behaviour of larger, higher-conviction addresses — how their holdings concentrate and rotate. The premise is that the flow of larger holders is informative about the maturing or exhausting of a move. It is a behavioural reading, not a directional call.

Concept overview

TSMI reads the behaviour of larger, higher-conviction addresses — how their holdings concentrate and rotate. The premise is that the flow of larger holders is informative about the maturing or exhausting of a move. It is a behavioural reading, not a directional call.

Phase interpretation (0-100 scale)

  • 0-25Large holders distributing
  • 25-50Net distribution / neutral
  • 50-75Net accumulation
  • 75-100Large holders accumulating

These bands are interpretive: they are read as a position, never as a buy or sell trigger.

Historical context

Across cycles, phases of large-holder accumulation have tended to coincide with quieter, lower-attention regimes, while distribution has tended to cluster into crowded, late-stage advances. Reading TSMI against attention (TSS) sharpens both.

Strengths & limitations

TSMI's strength is behavioural insight into larger holders. Its limitation is that address-level behaviour is a proxy — it frames intent, it does not confirm it.
