Trinity Sentiment Score (TSS)

TSS reads the crowd — the attention and sentiment surface that surrounds Bitcoin. A cold reading frames disinterest and neglect; a hot reading frames euphoria and crowded attention. Sentiment tends to run contrarian at the extremes, so the score is most instructive at its bands.

Concept overview

TSS reads the crowd — the attention and sentiment surface that surrounds Bitcoin. A cold reading frames disinterest and neglect; a hot reading frames euphoria and crowded attention. Sentiment tends to run contrarian at the extremes, so the score is most instructive at its bands.

Phase interpretation (0-100 scale)

  • 0-25Cold / disinterested crowd
  • 25-50Warming attention
  • 50-75Elevated attention
  • 75-100Hot / euphoric crowd

These bands are interpretive: they are read as a position, never as a buy or sell trigger.

Historical context

Read across the four Bitcoin cycles, TSS has tended to peak alongside crowded, euphoric attention and trough during periods of neglect. Because attention and price feed back on one another, divergences between sentiment and on-chain behaviour are among the more informative readings.

Strengths & limitations

TSS's strength is contrarian framing at the extremes. Its limitation is that sentiment can stay hot or cold longer than expected, so it frames a backdrop rather than a turn.
