Trinity Insights and the AMF
Trinity Insights is an educational and informational on-chain Bitcoin and macro-intelligence analytical tool, operating in France and the European Economic Area. This page details Trinity's positioning vis-à-vis the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF) and the French Monetary and Financial Code.
Trinity Insights status
- Not a Financial Investment Advisor (CIF) within the meaning of articles L.541-1 et seq. of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
- Not a Digital Asset Service Provider (PSAN) registered or licensed by the AMF within the meaning of article L.54-10-2 of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
- Not a Crypto-Asset Service Provider (CASP) under European Regulation (EU) 2023/1114 on markets in crypto-assets (MiCA).
- No public solicitation of savings within the meaning of articles L.411-1 et seq. of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
Why Trinity is not a CIF
Article L.541-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code defines the CIF as a person who provides, on a habitual and remunerated basis, an investment advisory service relating to financial instruments (securities, UCITS units, etc.).
Trinity Insights does not provide any personalised recommendation of a transaction involving a specific financial instrument. Trinity visualisations, indicators and analyses are for educational and informational purposes. They do not take into account the personal situation, objectives or individual risk profile of users.
Why Trinity is not a PSAN
Article L.54-10-2 of the French Monetary and Financial Code lists the digital asset services subject to AMF registration or authorisation: custody, purchase/sale on behalf of third parties, trading, operation of a trading platform, advice on digital assets, portfolio management, placement, services on derivatives.
Trinity Insights provides none of these services. The platform does not open digital asset accounts, does not receive or transfer digital assets for its users, does not operate any exchange platform and does not provide any personalised advice on digital assets.
No public solicitation of savings
Trinity Insights does not offer the subscription of any financial instrument or savings product. Paid subscriptions provide access to an educational analytical service — they constitute neither a public offering of financial securities (article L.411-1) nor a collective investment within the meaning of article L.214-1 of the French Monetary and Financial Code.
