The web dashboard remains the primary product; the API is for those who want to integrate Trinity directly into their own stack, internal tools, trading systems, or research pipelines.
The REST API is for traditional integrations, your backend calls Trinity endpoints over HTTPS and parses JSON. The MCP server (Model Context Protocol) is for AI agents, Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Gemini, Perplexity connect natively and query Trinity through tool calls. Same underlying data, two different surfaces. Use the REST API for product features, the MCP for agentic workflows.
Standard Bearer tokens over HTTPS. Generate an API key from your dashboard, send it in the Authorization header on every request, rotate it whenever you need to. Keys are scoped to your tier and can be revoked at any time. Server-side use only, never expose keys in client-side code or public repositories.
Yes. The API and the dashboard read from the same certified data layer (EDCD methodology, audited by the Trinity Audit Engine). What you see in a chart is what you get from the corresponding endpoint, with the same freshness, the same provenance, and the same compliance wrap, including the AMF / MiCA disclaimer required for EU distribution.
