Phase interpretation (0-100 scale)
- 0-25Restrictive liquidity backdrop
- 25-50Tightening / neutral
- 50-75Loosening / supportive
- 75-100Expansive liquidity backdrop
These bands are interpretive: they are read as a position, never as a buy or sell trigger.
Historical context
Because it draws on leading macro sources published on a slower editorial cadence, TLBI updates on a monthly rhythm and can carry a natural publication lag. Read across cycles, its expansive band has historically accompanied risk-on macro regimes and its restrictive band tighter ones.
