Where does the data come from?
From the release calendar published by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the official calendars of the Fed, the European Central Bank and the Bank of Japan, and Deribit's public API for options expiries. Every event links back to its issuer.
Why is there no consensus forecast?
Because that data is not freely available. Publishing an invented forecast would be worth less than its absence: we show the published reading and the previous one, both verifiable at the source.
Which time zone are the times shown in?
Yours, detected from your browser, with a switch to UTC. Times come from what the issuer officially announces; when none is announced, we say so rather than showing an approximate time.
Why a macro calendar on a Bitcoin site?
Because Bitcoin's price responds to the cost of money. A rate decision, an inflation print or a shift in a central bank balance sheet moves global liquidity, and Bitcoin with it.
